Vacation!

We traveled to CT for Matt and Allison's wedding. Here are some pictures of what we have done so far....

Since Stollie didn't get along with the cats, we put him in another foster home and got Elliott. He is a rescue from the Franklin County Humane Society and he is an Olde English Bulldogge. I call him "Idiot." I mean it in the nicest way though.. ;) He also goes by "Lunkhead."

Welcome, Stollie!

This is Stollie - our newest foster dog. He is very skinny (only 60 lbs) and is very scared (especially of men), so we will be working with him a lot. Everyone is getting along quite well! :)

Penny was adopted last weekend, so we now have another foster, Harley. He looks black, but he is actually what they call "seal" colored (he looks black and then he looks brown). He is very, very sweet and is very, very smart! :)

I realized that I hadn't posted any recent pictures of Chloe, the Queen Dog of the Schmidt household, so here are some of her!

Chloe's new bad habit she learned from one of the fosters..chewing on sticks that she pulled off of one of the bushes..notice the dirty coat....she was digging before she found the stick....yet another bad habit she learned from a foster!

Rain...plus digging...plus white dog...equals A MESS! She wanted in because it was raining and she does NOT like standing in the rain...

Chloe...tired of all of the fireworks going off....

Penny vs. the hose

Penny likes to chase after the water as it comes out of the hose and I finally got her on film! She is so funny! She does this when I try to give her a bath as well...

We bought a pool for Penny since she likes water so much and she LOVES it! She pulls her toys out one at a time (and of course, we throw them back in there). She sticks her whole head under water and blows bubbles out of her nose!

Our newest foster, Deuce

Since Dexter has been adopted, we now have Deuce, a sweet "little" boy who LOVES people.





Chloe decided she and Penelope could get to China through our backyard. It's hard to tell, but she was FILTHY!!

We are officially foster parents......

Jeff and I recently became foster parents for Mutts-N-Stuff, a rescue group dedicated to providing temporary and then forever homes for dogs (and cats) who are near being put to sleep at their local animal shelter. We mostly rescue Pit Bull terriors, but also rescue others that may need it. Jeff and I got our first foster dog, Dexter (Bobby McGee) on our one year wedding anniversary, March 24, 2008. Almost a month later, we took in his sister, Penelope. They have both come a long way (Dexter has doubled is weight - he was VERY skinny and VERY shy when we first got him). Meet Chloe - the newest member of the Schmidt family! She is an 8 month old Boxer that Jeff drove about 3 1/2 hours away to pick up!
